Robert Barber has just been promoted to president of DRG (Dealer Resources Group). In business for over two decades, Dealer Resources Group was formed to provide RV industry suppliers with a well-trained, low cost alternative to a direct factory sales force at the dealer level, all throughout its 48 State service area. Barber began with the company in 2005 as Dealer Resources Group’s southeast division general manager. He had many years of experience in the market he serves, as a distributor sales representative with Coast Distribution for more than eight years, and with Arrow for the three years before joining Dealer Resources Group.
Prior to that, Barber also owned and operated a dealership in Clearwater, Fla., and served as parts manager for several major RV dealers, including Lazydays. In 2007, Barber’s commitment to the firm was rewarded by becoming the second sales associate to be made a partner through DRG’s partnership program. In 2008, he was promoted to VP of national sales. “I’m very grateful for everything Bob has accomplished for DRG since he joined our company,” said Jim Stark, founder and managing director of the firm. “I’m extremely confident his promotion will be very beneficial to the firm, as well as vendor partners.”
