News On The Road: Annual Celebration of Camping & Caravanning
British Club For Outdoor & RV Enthusiasts Dedicate A Whole Week Of Memorable Moments With Travelling Events & Roadshows While Receiving Feedback From Participants
Every year, England markets a week full of adventure, camping, recreational activities, and caravanning for people who can't get enough of the great outdoors. The National Camping and Caravanning Week (NCCW), as it's called, took place from 29th May 29th to June 4th this year. What's most important, and the topic of this article, is the industry research gained from surveying participants in the events put on by The Camping And Caravanning Club during this time.
According to The Camping And Caravanning Club, the theme for NCCW 2017 focused on the sociable side of camping. Through social media, people were encouraged to share their moments of camping, with hashtags like #ShareTheMoment and #MemorableMoments. Some significant findings during the week showed the following: 77% of campers said that the affordability makes camping a great way to spend quality time with people that matter; 64% confirmed that taking children or grandchildren on camping holidays can help improve their social skills and mental well-being; 39% of non-campers say work is the biggest distraction best avoided by camping; 55% of campers believe work is the biggest obstacle to overcome when trying to set time aside to spend with friends and family. This is only a few statistics gathered.
