SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The RV Industry Association [RVIA] reports that the new RV Women’s Alliance, aimed at mentoring women in the RV industry, will launch formally at RVX: The RV Experience, in Salt Lake City, March 13, 2019. The organization aims to promote diversity within the industry, providing programs, resources and a collaborative environment for women, and to recognize those who are pursuing long term careers in the industry. Organizers representing a cross section of dealers, suppliers, media and association staff met during the RVDA Convention in November to finalize plans.
The new group will be open to both women and men interested in raising the profile of women, providing mentorship and opportunities to women in the industry. “This is not meant to be an exclusive women’s club,” Liz Crawford, senior vice president at RV Industry Association, and one of the founders, said in a press release. “There are so many organizations out there that act in a similar capacity. We want to provide folks with an opportunity to learn from others, seek ways to share best practices, and encourage women from all walks of life to enter this exciting market.”
