NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) - Hurricane Florence caused $1 million in damages at New Bern KOA Holiday Campgrounds as high water took over the campsite. Since then, KOA’s New Bern staff have worked non-stop to get the site back up and running just in time for camping season.
WNCT9 writer Amber Joseph relates in her article: Jenni Edwards is a businesswoman who turned into an RV traveler. She's traveled across 45 states and she said there’s nothing like KOA New Bern. "I came here last year right before the hurricane and it was the people and the community, I’ve tried to put into words why it’s my favorite, but it feels good here,” said Edwards. Right now, is the peak in camping season and staff here at New Bern KOA Holiday Campgrounds encourage everyone to come out and camp and enjoy the outdoors.
