Former Sippewissett Campground & Cabins in Falmouth, Mass., has been proposed into an upscale campsite offering customers a “glamorous camping” experience, according to Wicked Local Falmouth. A Boston, Mass.-based company, Blue Flag Development LLC, has designed a new glamping experience, that would include a two-story, 7,900 square foot clubhouse situated in the middle of the campsite. In addition to a check-in area, the building would also feature a lounge, bathrooms with showers, a second-floor meeting space, a small retail shop and an outdoor deck with a hot tub.
According to the original article by Ryan Bray of Wicked Local Falmouth, "Sippewissett Campground closed in November after 57 years in business at 836 Palmer Avenue. Blue Flag Development LLC wants to partner with another company, AutoCamp, on plans to bring new Airstream trailers and tents, as well as a new clubhouse, maintenance building, and parking area to the property. The maintenance building would be 1,700 square feet, while a 670-foot storage shed is also planned for the property. The plan also calls for golf cart accessible pathways throughout the campsite that will link up to the Shining Sea Bikeway.
If approved, Falmouth would be AutoCamp’s first location on the East Coast, said Eliza Cox, the attorney representing Blue Flag. Read more here.
