Florida Waterfowl Summit Planned For Ocala

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) in association with United Waterfowlers Florida (UW-F) will host the ninth annual Florida Waterfowl Summit on Friday, Aug. 10 in Ocala, FL. This year’s summit focuses on aquatic plant management, nutrient pollution and invasive species, and other challenges faced when attempting to restore wetland habitat. Speakers include top research scientists and agency staff, as well as experts on fishing and waterfowl hunting in Florida.
The Aug. 10 summit, held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Ballroom at the Ocala Hilton, is free and open to the public, but attendees must register at this link. Lunch will be provided at no cost. On Aug. 9 at 6 p.m., UW-F will host a free Wild Foods welcome reception, with a menu of duck bites, gator, chicken and pulled pork, plus sides and fixins, for summit attendees at the Ocala Hilton pool.
