DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - WCPO, a news outlet covering Cincinnati, reports that the Warren County Regional Planning Commission is reviewing plans for a new RV resort located along I-71, near the Kings Island Amusement Park. The proposed Kings Mills Outdoor Resort would have 182 RV sites, 114 one- and two-bedroom cabins and 38 two-bedroom yurts, as well as a theater, gift shops, convenience stores, event center, game courts, and swimming pools. The land, about 24 miles northeast of Cincinnati, was once used as a campground run by the amusement park.
Kings Island, a Cedar Fair park said to be the largest amusement and water park in the Midwest, is home to The Beast, the world's longest wooden roller coaster. Phillip , president and CEO of the Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau, told WCPO: “We certainly want people with RVs to visit Ohio’s Largest Playground and then visit our attractions, dine in our restaurants and shop on our main streets. So this project looks like it could be a good fit for Warren County.”
