Erwin Hymer Group North America debuted the first Sprinter-based model under the Hymer brand at the Hershey RV Show. The show ended September 16 at The Giant Center In Hershey, PA. For a bit of background, Hymer has come to North America from Europe and brought the sleek European styled Class B RVs to be manufactured for the North American consumer. In particular, The Hymer Aktiv S is built on the Mercedes Sprinter 2500 chassis and is the first Sprinter model for the Hymer brand in North America.
According to a press release, The floorplan is similar to the brands other Aktiv model on the ProMaster chassis with a second-row seating bench, full kitchen galley on the passenger side, full bathroom with shower and cassette toilet and a flip-up bed with storage. The interior color palette is also new for the Hymer line up as it features warm grey tone fabrics mixed with the light buttercream cabinets, reminiscent of styling available in Europe. The Hymer booth also displayed Touring GT Trailers and the recently launched Hymer Aktiv 2.0 Loft. The Touring GT is an ultra-light-weight towable trailer that comes equipped with a pop top roof, extensive storage, a king-size bed, full bathroom and kitchen.
“The Hershey show is always an important one for us as it kicks off our show season and we have a lot of great new products to showcase this year,” said Mike Snell, VP of sales and service for Erwin Hymer Group North America. “We are excited to showcase the Hymer Sprinter as well at the Aktiv Loft edition as they are the perfect addition to our Hymer line up and gives us the ability to offer something for everyone in the market for a Hymer campervan.”
