DENVER, Colo. - Colorado Parks and Wildlife announced that six of its state parks will switch to a new reservation system this year. At five of the parks, Cheyenne Mountain, Eleven Mile, Staunton, St. Vrain, and Trinidad Lake, the new system goes into effect July 1 and will affect all campsites at the parks. At Staunton State Park, camping is available for the first time, with 25 backcountry campsites opening to the public. A sixth park, Ridgway State Park, will join the system Sept. 15 but will only accept reservations for sites in the F and G loops.
