Spectacular red cliffs frame the park on three sides. It consists of two campgrounds, convention center, museum, hiking trails and historic outlaw trading post built in 1888. Red Rock Park is the crown jewel of Gallup’s parks and recreation system. Cradled by spectacular red cliffs formed over 200 million years ago in the Age of the Dinosaurs, the park combines a glimpse into past civilizations with modern amenities to serve the needs of contemporary residents and guests.

Red Rock Park Reviews

Great for $22 If you need perfect you can get that for five times more in Gallup

I travel in a van. A shower at a truck stop is $18. Four bucks more and I get the shower and a nice place to spend the night. Showers were clean, park was trash free. I found a spot with shade then made reservations and paid online.

Perfect Location for Gallup and surrounding areas

We stayed here for a quick 2 night trip to Gallup. Stayed in a tent. Shower facilities were very clean. Very friendly people-many actually live year round in the park. Felt very safe. Easy access to town and two beautiful hiking trails at Red Rock Park. Well worth the overnight fee of $22 ($26.77 total)! We loved it. Easy reservations made online. We will absolutely stay here again!!!

Right off rt 40

$22 for water and electricity. Bargain. Not much to do there. If its windy the sand stings. We stayed inside for our 1 night. Bath house is fair to good. Quiet.
