Camped with my family at Poverty Point State park for the first time for about a weeks time. This park was clean, with well kept sites. There is a playground/splash pad that was a big hit with my little ones. There are also several walking trails throughout the park. The bath house was clean and spacious. There was a very large boat landing just down from the RV park. There?s also a beach that?s located on PP Reservoir but it?s not inside inside the campground. It?s several miles up the road. I also recommend making the short drive to tour the Indian mounds that make up Poverty Point.
