We stayed at Forest Ridge for a week as a jump-off spot to explore the Schoodic Peninsula. The campground was quiet and clean. The hosts were friendly and helpful. They did a great job keeping everyone safe from COVID-19. We loved that we were loaned a cable box so we were able to relax watch our favorite evening TV shows after a day of sightseeing.
Forest Ridge is a central location for many attractions in the Acadia National Park area. Additionally, the setting in the woods is nice, the owners are awesome, and the sites are spacious and nearly flat.
Pull-thru site was roomy and level with easy access to hook-ups. Well maintained facility. Easy access to town and Acadia. Hosts were helpful and gracious. Great stay.
We stayed a month at this quiet, well run campground. It was convenient to all we wanted to access. Unfortunately, Jeff could not control the weather. Would stay again. Hope the owners have continued success!
This was a perfect location for us. Close to all the best that Maine has to offer. Great dining, wonderful sites, Bar Harbor, Acadia National Forest... The park is a quiet, peaceful place (just like their motto). The pull through was long enough to hold our motorhome and attached trailer easily so no need to unhook. The owners are very friendly and always willing to visit with guests - taking the time to recommend great places to visit and eat. We'll definitely be back!
This campground was the perfect choice for our Maine vacation. You are close to town for shopping but located in Maine woods. This campground is centrally located near many unique down-east communities. Our site was large, level and it was so peaceful, very quiet. The bathroom and laundry facility we're the cleanest we have ever seen. The owners take pride in running a small, family business and they are always willing to give recommendations on where to dine, shop and where to see the Maine beauty. I am so glad they recommended Schoodic! We can't wait to return!
