Nearby, the Sylvan Heights Waterfowl Park in Scotland Neck hosts the world's largest collection of waterfowl and offers plenty of fun activities for kids (open year-round). Walk Roanoke Canal Trail, visit Raleigh or the beach. Tour historic Halifax and go antiquing. This is the KOA closest to Raleigh.
