Cream & Sugar Cafe
I'm never at a loss for words and I really wanted to write something enticing and descriptive, but how does one touch the sense of smell with mere words? How about, "O Gosh! This smells heavenly!" Wait, try this one... Is someone hugging my nose? Mmm... feels so good. No, it's the smell of homemade goodies coming out of the oven. Here's one... I think my nostrils are dancing. As you can see, I'm struggling to tell you about the sensory overload that I experienced when I entered Cream & Sugar Cafe. It's downtown Iuka, Mississippi, the old historic downtown. Folks tipped their heads and smiled as we passed on the sidewalk and exchanged “Good morning” greetings. The old door let out a pleasant groan as it swung open. I stepped onto the century old wooden floor and was swept off my feet by the smells wafting from the kitchen. I met the owner, Miss Laura, and began to feel the inspiration and faith that has turned this little place into a warm and inviting café.Stop by for coffee and a pastry or a meal and let your soul be satisfied. Tell ‘em Mr. Jack sent you. “Taste and see that the Lord is good!” -Psalm 34:8 “'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” - Matthew 4:4
